November 17, 2003 - Disney has shut down production on the animated movie “A Few Good Ghosts” for creative reasons.
“A Few Good Ghosts,” which mixed traditional and computer-generated animation, had already gone through a number of title changes — including “My Peoples” and “Angel and Her No Good Sister” — and was being directed by Barry Cook, one of the directors of 1998’s “Mulan.” Set to a bluegrass score, it revolved around a group of ghosts inhabiting folk-art dolls. Its voice cast included Hal Holbrook, Dolly Parton and Lily Tomlin.

Another thing I love about this scene is that Rei and Mamoru’s matching outfits make them look like fraternal twins.

Oh my god that is adorable.

So Rei must’ve bought him that shirt then.

Or, more accurately, dragged him shopping and made him buy it.

And didn’t even realize she had an outfit that matched perfectly.

I notice that they’re all wearing their same outfits from the R movie, all six of them, and that’s just a ridiculous coincidence so no way. They had to plan that.

So okay, this is a lovely day. The first, maybe, after all the shit in S. Usagi’s been doing better (kind of alarmingly so, which has everyone even more worried but nobody’s wanting to give voice to that), but she wants everyone to have a great day.

The Fiore business aside, the botanical gardens was a fantastic day to that point, and that’s the kind of mood Usagi wants to recreate. So they all decide to do just that.

With the added bonus of Rei and Mamoru wearing these unintentionally matching outfits again. Because when she first noticed it, Usagi went BONKERS. They are SO CUTE, omg, big brother Mamo-chan and little sister Rei-chan, and Usagi starts making up stories on the spot about them if they’d grown up together, much to Mamoru and Rei’s consternation.

But today they encourage it. Playing out the roles Usagi’s assigning them because it just makes her so damned happy.

And Rei keeps making Mamoru buy her food and sodas and stuff, so all is well. IT’S WHAT ONIISANS DO, MAMORU. And Mamoru looks to Motoki for help and Motoki’s like “Dude you are on your own.”

YOU GRABBED IT AND YOU RAN WITH IT AND I LOVE IT.

I saw the Star Wars movies for the first time when I was about 5 years old. Han Solo was the first non-cartoon character I ever had a crush on.

Amy Dallen is one of the most delightful people in comics! I frequently go to House of Secrets, the comic book store where she works and she is the reason why HoS is one of my favorite comic book stores in Southern California. Amy knows comics, Amy LOVES comics and Amy is an interesting and verbose person about comics and other nerd things. After seeing her on Wil Wheaton’s ‘TableTop’ show, I and many people told her that she needs her own show, maybe about comics. Geeks and Sundry now have given her that show and I am GLAD! I hope everyone will watch the show, support Amy, and maybe learn a thing or two about comics that they didn’t know before. :D

Aww, I think I’m really gonna enjoy Amy’s show!

Kirsty Mitchell’s late mother Maureen was an English teacher who spent her life inspiring generations of children with imaginative stories and plays. Following Maureen’s death from a brain tumour in 2008, Kirsty channelled her grief into her passion for photography.

She retreated behind the lens of her camera and created Wonderland, an ethereal fantasy world. The photographic series began as a small summer project but grew into an inspirational creative journey.

‘Real life became a difficult place to deal with, and I found myself retreating further into an alternative existence through the portal of my camera,’ said the artist. (read the rest here).

Everything about this is absolutely beautiful. Not just the photos, which are mind-blowing in themselves, but the artist’s drive to create them. I’m sure her mother would be very proud of her daughter for honoring her memory in such an amazing, awe-inspiring way.
